Published 1936, softcover. By Henry David Pope (Author).  A rare Texana item.  The story of Joanna Troutman, who sewed a flag for a battalion of Georgia volunteers who were leaving to fight in the Texas Revolution, which became known as the Troutman flag, consisting of a five-pointed blue star and the words “Liberty or Death” on a white silk field. Cover paper is missing off of a 2″ section at the very bottom of spine, but binding is intact. Cover corners are bumped. Has light discoloration on cover. See photo. Otherwise clean copy.
