“On the hill that day, Charley took a deep breath and said, “In the spring, I reckon Texas is just about the best place to be in the world.” Well, Charley didn’t know anything about the world. I doubt he’d ever been a hundred miles from home. And yet, now that we’ve gone out, and seen lots and lots of other places, and grown old, I believe this: That what Charley Grimes said that day was just about right.” – Leon Hale, Writer
